Video as a tool for

God’s kingdom

In our culture today, we’re connected more now than we ever have been. Media is everywhere and, whether we realize it or not, it plays an influential role our decision making. Social media, namely video, has become a crucially important medium for controlling the narrative whether it’s truth or lie, good news or bad news, selling products or ideas here locally or globally. Video undoubtedly is a powerful tool that can be harnessed for good or bad. Together, let's redeem video so that it brings the good news of the Gospel to those who are without hope.

At Two Mile Media, we have a heart for ministry, missions, and for seeing the lost come to know Christ. God has entrusted us with unique abilities to be a light in the darkness. For us, that means using our ability to produce compelling stories through the use of video.

“So he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.”

John 13:4-5

We want to follow Jesus’ vivid example that He set for His disciples in John 13 by serving others. Two Mile Media provides a variety of video production services aimed to come alongside your church or ministry. Whether you have an idea and don’t know where to start, or you just need an individual service, we want to help you bring your vision to reality. We offer help to script, film, edit, and produce compelling content that will reach others and displays Christ’s love for them. We want to see revival in our churches, cities, and in every nation throughout the world and would love to partner with your ministry.

What if the body of Christ was known to produce quality videos with some of the greatest stories ever told? How would that impact the world?

“Things always seem to have a way of working out. This shoot was a challenge. It was mid-afternoon and the sun was high in the sky. I prepared the microphone, the cameras, and staged Pastor Tim in some shade that was coming from a group of pine trees. On camera, Pastor Tim’s face was too dark and background was completely washed out. I asked if we could move into the sunlight and quickly realized that the harsh shadows on his face were no good. The wind had picked up and I wouldn’t be able to use diffusion to soften the light on his face. Time was of the essence. I was running out of options, feeling stuck, and anxiety began to set in. “Pastor Tim,” I said, “I think we should pray.” For the next few minutes, we prayed that God would make a way in this project that we knew so clearly was initiated by Him. We humbly recognized our need for His help and guidance and chose to rely on Him in faith. After deciding one last time to set up in the shade, I remembered that my reflector could be used bounce sunlight onto Pastor Tim’s face. Doing this would help to reduce shadows. God had made a way! It doesn’t mean that things were instantly easy after that. We still had difficulties: the bugs were terrible, a handful of shots were out of focus, and Pastor Tim struggled a few times with his script. But through it all, we had witnessed the faithfulness of God. God desires to work in and through us but there’s something particular and irresistible to God about a meek and humble spirit. It’s almost as if He cannot help but display His power in our lives when we submit to Him our weaknesses. “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:3 If you’ve come to the end of yourself and you’re not sure what your next steps should be, humbly ask God for help. I’m sure He’ll come through. God chooses to work through those who humbly submit, weaknesses and all, to Him.” - Grant #thebeatitudes #matthew5 #poorinspirit #churchsermontrailer #sermonbumper #grace906 #michiganvideoproduction #churchvideoproduction #storiesthatmatter #yourstorymatters
